Windsor Symphony Orchestra: Intimate Classics Series2:30 pm
Heritage Auditorium - Windsor (Ontario), Canada
On Sunday, October 20, 2019 Windsor Symphony Symphony - conducted by Maestro Robert Franz - and Luke Welch will combine musical forces as part of the Intimate Classics Series. This three-day event through southwestern Ontario continues at Heritage Auditorium in Widsor, Canada. On this occasion, the performance will feature Mozart Concerto in A Major K. 414 - a delightful work written with the versatility to be played by as large as a symphony orchestra or as small as a string quartet.
This concerto represents the twelfth piano concerto of Mozart, and was composed in Vienna in the autumn of 1782. It is catalogued with K. 413 and K. 415, which were also composed around the same time in the early stages of the composer's career and were written in a similar hybrid style as to accommodate a large ensemble or chamber group. This performance is the concluding concert in the 2019 Intimate Classics Series.
