This album by pianist Luke Welch, entitled Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Piano works, represents his fourth professional release in addition to The Universal Language, Crossing Borders, and The Return: Beethoven and Schumann which features a full program of solo piano works by the famed British composer – including world-premiere recordings.  This program exemplifies the artistry and brilliance of this highly acclaimed Black composer who sought to codify and promote the depth, magnitude, and beauty of the African and African-American cultures through his unique musical lens.  The album officially released on Friday, May 5, 2023.
