The Windsor Symphony Orchestra, based in southwestern Ontario, Canada and conducted by Robert Franz, will be featuring pianist Luke Welch in the Intimate Classics Series to perform Mozart Piano Concerto in A Major, K. 414. This concerto, composed in 1782 and as an earlier work shows signs of the composer’s developing maturity. The versatility in writing style allows for this composition to be performed with as large as a symphony orchestra or as intimate as a string quartet along with the piano.
In this weekend series, the first performance will take place at Leamington United Mennonite Church on Saturday, October 19 at 7:30 pm. The series finale will be an afternoon concert in Windsor, hosted by Heritage Auditorium on Sunday, October 20th – starting at 2:30 pm. Both events will be preceded by a Q & A session from the audience for both the conductor and soloist.
