Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the recommendation to stay home, Luke Welch has been releasing a weekly series of previously unseen performances on YouTube. The first of this series, release two weeks ago, featured a historic work by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Last week highlighted a return to his former home of the Netherlands to present an all-Beethoven program in the southwestern city of Breda.
This week’s video takes place in London, England, where he will feature a program of works by Domenico Scarlatti, Frederic Chopin, and 20th century Canadian composer Oskar Morawetz. Welch, a regular performer in the United Kingdom, will have his performance broadcast on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm EST (7:00 CET). The video can be viewed here:
